Panel 1: Daniel walks down the steps to his apartment building. Old snowfall is built up on the tops of bushes and on the ground. The narration reads, "Just a few notes, not a full song."

Panel 2: Daniel walks along, alone in a faceless crowd. Narration: "Following you."

Panel 3: Narration: "Starting and stopping..." Daniel stands on a crowded train car. Everyone is in winter clothes, and the day's sunlight is fading quickly. Narration continues, "...and starting again."

Panel 4: Daniel enters a bar. An illuminated neon sign reads KEYS ON THE RIVER. Narration continues, "A few bars of music..."

Panel 5: "...that you know could be so much more..." Inside the bar, Daniel looks over the empty seats to a grand piano on a stage, illuminated by a blue light.

As an aside, I'd like to thank cartoonist and letterer extraordinaire, Kyla Aiko, for hunting down the font from the early 00's TokyoPop translation of Paradise Kiss so I could use it in Keeping Time.  (The font is MarkerMan, for the curious!) I promise this was vitally important (...to me, anyway lmaooo)
