Page 55 of Keeping Time

Panel 1: Denver is still sitting on the couch, but from this angle, we can see there's also an old bicycle leaning against the far brick wall next to an electrical box. Denver rubs at the shoulder of his injured arm, right above his Chicago flag patch. He says, quietly, in a small font, "...Yeah, they are." Off-panel, Tomás asks, "Sorry, you say something?"

Panel 2: Denver covers his face with his good hand. In a louder voice, back at regular font size, he says, "No. Hey, you busy? Want to hit up O'Malley's? I ended up getting into it with Deirdre after Malika. I need a drink."

Panel 3: Tomás now has his jacket on, and is holding a green, fur-lined trapper hat in his hands. He replies, "I can't. I have that church thing with Javi and my mom. Besides, if you've got time to kill, shouldn't you be going to see Margot? You scared the shit out of her, man."

Panel 4: Denver looks away from Tomás, towards the sunlight in the room. He says, "...I don't know what to say to her."

Panel 5: Tomás looks concerned, his eyebrows furrowed and his mouth frowning. He answers, "'Sorry' might be a good start. You owe her at least that much."
